Bria Adimora Godley was born in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. In 2016 she graduated from Yale University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. She attended medical school at University of North Carolina School of Medicine and completed Psychiatry Residency at Yale.

Her memoir, NO ACUTE DISTRESS, is forthcoming from Algonquin Books via Little, Brown. An excerpt of her book was published in American Chordata. She is represented by Charlotte Sheedy Literary Agency, Salky Literary Management, and Addison Duffy at United Talent Agency.
